We stumbled into this one enroute a friend's place and found many interesting southeast-asian goodies and groceries inside. What a find! :)
Love the service and the fruits on display! We asked the staff to help pick a few for immediate consumption and they were all good. Definitely coming back :)
I love the ambience in this bookstore and how it attracts a quieter, book-loving crowd. The layout is very sensible and it also has wheelchair access. Quite lovely.
this shop actually carries an impressive amount of goods (from tea pots to freezer stuff and everything in between) and has a fair number of people coming through to get stuff. But the lighting needs improvement and also, the shopkeeper has got to keep the stuff/place in a more organized manner so that it doesn't seem so cluttered. stuff can be dusty, depending on what you're looking for, but prices are better than most.
Food is made fresh daily and coffee is good. Service is prompt and very friendly. One of my favorites in this food court.
a great place to get all your disposables for the home or whenever you have a party as you can't get better prices elsewhere. students staying in the dorms on campus can definitely make use of stuff here too.
don't expect good service though. they don't have anyone to help you if you can't manage to carry something super heavy/big to the counter... so if you are intending to get something big, get a cart in from elsewhere in the mall.
a well-stocked departmental store where prices are better than most other departmental stores/ retailers. the staff are friendly and helpful too.
The folks at Crazy John's are incredibly efficient and friendly. New to Australia, there were a bunch of paperwork to be done and we were given the best customer service and all the perks at sale time too!
The slightly down side is that Crazy John's dependent on Vodafone network, so whilst you get a decent connection most of the time, there are some spots where you'd definitely lose the signal... so be warned :)
My second favourite asian grocery store in Dickson because of the very friendly proprietor. He was so helpful that he actually wrote the name of the store and also drew a picture of what we were looking for (to confirm the item) on a piece of paper to help newbies to Canberra like us locate the small but necessary tools in the home. The proprietor also likes to "advertise" his goods to whoever is in the store. He's a funny man :)
I docked 2 stars off because of a delivery miscommunication on their end, and I waited in vain a whole day, slept on the floor in our new place and still had to assemble it all by myself.
On the brighter side of things, we got a good deal at the sale and the staff were most friendly and helpful. They also stock better models of bed.
