My fave vietnamese restaurant in melbourne. Whenever I'm near Springvale, i make sure to drop in. Extensive and colourful menu! Everything I've ever picked off the menu tasted sensational and was presented well. The price? omg so cheap for a great meal. Service is just quick, they take your order and your food comes quickly. You're not paying for top service lol its just good food

Approximate cost: $9

I've been to stalactites a few times and have found the service differs. One time i went and sat in, the waiter was great. another time the man serving me was rather grumpy and rude when i pointed out he had got my order wrong! The food used to be great especially the souvlakis but the price has gone up recently and I havent been back as you can get equally great souvlakis elsewhere for cheaper.

Approximate cost: $23

Walking past this small shop, my eyes diverted to the display of plastic crepe models at the front of the shop! they looked so real i actually asked how they kept the crepes behind the glass without it melting!! silly me, obviously they would have to be fake! there were so many more on display when i walked into the shop and was greeted warmly by the counter lady.

I had trouble deciding which crepe I wanted as they all looked so delicious, in the end i settled for one with strawberries, nutella and custard. Just as i had finished ordering, my crepe was handed to me! Super quick service! i lingered in the shop to watch over the glass as they made these japanese crepes. It was amazing watching how they made them.

My crepe was nice and hot with the ingredients melting together. It was so good that it has become my fave crepe when i visit the store. I've also tried many of the other crepes and there are quite a few really good ones!

Sometimes the place can get really packed, especially on friday nights as lines form, but watching them make the crepes is half the fun!

Approximate cost: $6
