Helpful and friendly staff. Reverse-vending machines always in good working order. Cleaned regularly to a good standard.

On-site parking (including 1x wheelchair permit space by a bollard).

No public toilets on-site, but there are nearby at Rocks Riverside Park.

At time of writing, Laptop Clinic has over 230 reviews on Google with an almost unheard-of 5.0 star average. In my experience, this reputation is well-deserved.

The proprietor gave immediate quotes, which he later honoured. After diagnosing the problem within only a couple of hours of my having left the laptop, the proprietor phoned to confirm the go-ahead, and the agreed cost. He found an additional small problem which he said he would include in the fix at no additional cost. It was the opposite of getting a nasty surprise when the bill came due- I actually got more service for the price than I had first agreed!

More importantly, the problems were fixed. Our laptop and its data were resurrected.

We intend to be repeat customers. Highly recommended to others.

Fantastic range, more than what you may first think from seeing the shop from the outside. The proprietor is friendly and helpful, knowing unerringly where everything is kept.

There are many regular customers, and the proprietor greets people he knows by name. It has a real community atmosphere that is absent from a big chain competitor. There are some old tools on display that are a nice nostalgic touch. You may also see the proprietor's very relaxed dog, and/or his young son during school holidays. This all further enhances the family-friendly atmosphere. It's like a small town hardware store in suburban Brisbane.

The entrance would be accessible to many wheelchairs. The aisles are, by necessity, fairly close together, so it would be difficult to manoeuvre a wheelchair throughout the whole store. Fortunately, the proprietor is happy to get items from anywhere in the store and bring them to the front counter for customers who need that assistance.

Highly recommended to try this store for anything you might need from a hardware store.

The pharmacists are all extremely friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and approachable. They have gone out of their way to help us on numerous occasions, and we have never had such great experiences with a pharmacy before. It is definitely worth becoming a regular customer here.

The customer service staff are also consistently helpful, professional, and kind. My experience is usually attending in the evenings.

West End is known as being a vibrant place. I have frequently observed staff interacting helpfully and respectfully with customers from a variety of backgrounds, and with differing needs. In my experience, this pharmacy is an inclusive and non-judgmental business. I am also comfortable with asking advice or buying products of a personal or potentially embarrassing nature, without feeling judged by staff.

Their being open until 8 PM on weeknights is highly convenient. Easy to get to by bus, and staff are happy to validate parking tickets for the complex with a purchase.

Great for art supplies, framing, regular & workshop-style art tuition. There is a friendly community atmosphere at the store.

Classes have many repeat customers, often over several years, which proves that what they are doing works very well. Students are encouraged to learn and improve for themselves, but not in an atmosphere where they compete with other students. In weekly classes, students are advised on how to paint whatever they would like. Everyone works on different artworks at their own pace. (Workshops have a different format).

Their art supplies are priced fairly and competitively. Nevertheless, the art classes and workshop teachers never pressure students into buying unnecessary supplies. Furthermore, the owner encourages students to bring in their own art supplies if they already own them, and will never guilt students who buy supplies from elsewhere instead.

The staff go out of their way to be inclusive of people with disabilities in their classes, and are now an NDIS registered service provider for art tuition. Access the ramp from the rear, through the alley behind the tattoo shop.

Framing services are discussed in the store and then completed offsite, with the finished frame returned to the store for pick-up. The advice is expert and the work is of exceptional quality. Prices are very competitive compared to other framing businesses. Turnaround can be one to two weeks, and is definitely worth it.

Parking is shared with the other businesses and can be tricky to get a spot, but there is some other parking nearby. Public transport is an option as it is a quick walk from Corinda train station.

Strongly urge anyone to avoid this company.

Had a terrible experience. Paid $500 in advance for a bond/exit standard clean in a furnished home. The cleaners who attended seemed inexperienced and did not appear to have even read the list of tasks the owners had said would be included by email.

Owner responded to my initial email stating there were major problems with the clean sent 3 days afterward, but then claimed that they would not fix the problems because I hadn't included the (long) list of specific tasks that were omitted until a following email that I sent after their stated 5 day guarantee period. I think that's quibbling about semantics, and ignores the fact that I did notify them within 5 days anyway.

Shiny Cleaning repeated that same excuse to the QLD Office of Fair Trading following my complaint.

Am shortly to take Shiny Cleaning to QCAT to try to recoup a large partial refund, which is a major inconvenience. Another customer told me that they had to take Shiny Cleaning to QCAT to get a refund themselves.

Shiny Cleaning also failed in their obligations under law to provide me with a receipt/tax invoice when requested. Their website does not display a registered business name or any physical address. No ABN/ACN is displayed on the website or in emails. The owner accepted money into a personal bank account rather than a business trust. They do not offer EFTPOS/credit card services.

They state statistics of supposedly satisfied customers that they claim are updated monthly. It's May at time of writing and the website displays the exact same statistics I saw when first booking their services back in January. Their claimed 92% success rate of satisfied customers seems impossible given there are only negative reviews from their customers on independent websites.

Lastly, I have personally been in contact with representatives of 7 of the 8 real estate companies whose logos appear on the Shiny Cleaning website. Those 7 real estate companies state that the logos are not being used with permission. Requests to remove them, and at least one formal Cease and Desist demand, have so far been rejected/ignored. These matters have been escalated to senior management of several of the companies, who may be undertaking stronger legal action.

Relevant issues have been referred to ASIC, the ACCC, the ATO. The real kicker? The owner knows about all of the above and has not shown any indication of caring.

Approximate cost: $500
