Fortunate to live near by, just a quick but pleasant 5min walk along the waterfront, watching the bird life and sometimes if we are lucky the dolphins. And then to be able to site on the waterfront and enjoy your meal, with a fabulous view at night of the old mill lit up.
The food is always fabulous, the wine superb. The owner, Gio, personally picks local wines to complement the food. There is a good variety of food in their mediterranean range.
the staff are wonderful, they treat you like a member of the family, probably sometimes better!. Nothing is too much trouble - and they are about to add more services to their already great range such as gourmet take-aways. it really is a dining pleasure at the Portobello.....and they have the awards to prove it, which they gained in their first year. Recently went on a very busy Friday night without a reservation. The head waitress advised a probably 20minute wait at least for a table. We decided to wait at the bar. Didn't have to wait any longer than 8minutes for our table.
Great selection of food, very tasty, attentive staff and real value for money. Lovely venue, great atmosphere. will defiantly be going again.

Lovely atmosphere, although when it's busy, it's standing room only and you could just about fall of the balcony. so if your after somewhere quiet - I'd go somewhere else. Unfortunately there really isn't a great food selection - so unless your love your pizza, there really isn't that much more of a selection for you.
Promises so much but doesn't quite deliver.....yet

I was a regular with the original owners and the staff were wonderful and very efficient. The new owners and staff took about a month before they managed to get into the swing of things but the service and coffee is now back to the original standards - good luck guys
