Went on a weekday lunch, but in the middle of Christmas party time, and the service was fantastic. We all had the $10 Thursday lunch special of chicken schnitzel with choice of sauce, chips and coleslaw, and the serving was so generous only out the 6 of us could finish....and it tasted great. Other meals are between $15-25

Great location, handy to Central Station and bus stops. We tried the rooftop bar, and although there is no real view, it was quite pleasant to sit at on a balmy summer night. Food was usual pub fare, but nothing startling good or bad. I tried the lamb ribs, which tasted fine, though the serving was a little smaller than usual

We visited on a weekday for lunch, so it wasnt crowded...not sure how it'd be on a weekend. The food was great! Its all your usual pub fare but a bit more contemporary and funky. I couldnt make up my mind which one of the burgers to try (tossed up between pulled pork or the zucchini fritter with haloumi) so I ordered the sliders platter...4 sliders (tried the fish, pulled pork, southern milk fried chicken and the zucchini fritter ones) for $20....all were great, but recommend the zuccini fritter with haloumi....yum!

Only ever ordered takeaway, not really the sort of place to eat in. Food is good honest suburban chinese, nothing fancy but still quite tasty and reasonably priced. I have also tried them as a delivery and they were fast and got the order correct
Approximate cost: $14
I only go for breakfast, however their lunch menu looks tasty. The staff are fantastic, remember your coffee order after only two days, really friendly! Also recommend the muffins...baked on site, so really fresh (and still warm) and great flavours...recommend the mixed berry crumble, or raspberry and white choc
The pub has recently ben refurbished and they have done up the bistro and beer garden. The bistro itself is in an old fashioned pub dining room, but has ben freshened up so it is quite inviting. The food menu is your usual pub fare, steak, burgers, fush and chips, schnitzels etc....BUT.....they are done really really well. Good honest well priced tasty food. Recommend the steak, chips and salad!

I ordered takeaway. 45 mins after it was due i received a call to tell me my address didnt exist, and that the cross street i had given also didnt exist.....after a fair bit of giving directions the pizza arrived, lukewarm, tough and with very thin toppings.....not nice!
Approximate cost: $15
Have only eaten their delivered takeaway pizza, always tasty, always prompt delivery (even on a Friday night)pizzas workman like, reliable but not earthshattering. Thin crust adequate fillings, reasonably priced....below price is for a large saefood

Wow what a funky venue....melbourne meets marrickville! Food is great, not a huge menu, but usual pub grub with a twist. I had duck cottage pie followed by bread and butter pudding with marmalade and white choc ice cream. Both were delicious
Approximate cost: $20-25
Wow, went for breakfast and had french toast with fresh ricotta, rhubarb and salted caramel....so so yummy. Cafe is very contemporary, nice staff, food all seemed to be homemade and good coffee...this might become my new local
