This review is for Sitar Indian Restaurent Albion, Albion QLD

Our team of hungry people decided to go super local and headed down to Sitar for a feast. We ordered the banquet and settled down with our several bottles of wine. The food was varied to meet the varied and fussy tastes of our gang. The entree samosas were particularly fought over along with the chops. For the main we were rather impressed with the goat dish - not always cooked well - but Sitar did a great job!
A few weeks later we actually confirmed Sitar as our new favourite delivery service with the Lamb curry and naan breads (Cheese & SPinach and Garlic) winning!

This review is for The Vietnamese Restaurant BYO, Fortitude Valley QLD

We ate here before a night out at the Powerhouse so needed our food served quickly. Within minutes we had ordered our food and within 10 were served all four meals. The salt and pepper calamari is always a favourite (love batter!) and the standard chicken and beef meals were ordered. My especial favourite (and my choice) was the crispy Duck with lemon. Duck can often be rubbery or just not done well but The Vietnamese did not diappoint - crispy duck was the clear winner on the night!
Price is always comparable to other restarurants in Chinatown and we were out in plenty of time to get to our next venue.
Well recommended!

Great lunch time food! We got the lunch time deal - hamburger and beer. The service was good - quiet but quick. The food was delicious - meat especially tasty which was reassuring as the restaurant is devoted to meat!
My one complaint is the burgers are tiny! I'm only little but I love my food and just looking at it made me even hungrier!
I know we are a nation of the fattest but please make your burgers a little bit bigger!

This review is for Mu'ooz, West End QLD

verified email - 16 Apr 2014

Mu'ooz is one of those unique places - yes the food is great but the story behind the food is even greater. Recently moved from Marooka to West End, the ladies running Mu'ooz prepare Eriteran food predominantly (although there are influences from Ethopia and other food of that area) that rivals the expat Ertieran food I have had in London.
We as a party of 6 sat down and prepared to feast after a crazy week of work - as we always do - and were veritably impressed! Consequently we ordered every entree - the talmia was especially tasty. The mains were a mixture of Vegetarian and meat dishes: The Mbisi (goat) was good but the zighni chicken was delicious with the distinct Berere spices of North Africa. The Kantisha mushroom dish was particularly nice especially as I normally avoid mushrooms like the plague! Eat with Enjera bread - the sour dough tasting edible plate where you scoop your meal up, mixing te diverse flavours as you so please. Although I was utterly stuffed by the end of the meal, I did have some of the coffee to end the meal sending me off into an almost total food coma!
The price came to about $35 each including Kenyan beers which was comparable easily with what we would pay elsewhere.
Unlike other places where we are accustomed to having the empty dishes whisked off the table for you - here the staff will leave the dishes there. This is not a sign of inattention or slobbiness but rather a tradition of leaving the food there to be finished and picked at. A reminder that we are indeed lucky and should be appreciative of what we have before us.
A great establishment that should be supported not only for their stories but for their great food!

This review is for Jam Roc Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Fortitude Valley QLD

Finally! A proper Jamaican restaurant in Brisbane! Missed this food from my time in South London. Chicken is good, chips addictive, love that you can buy the jerk chicken sauce to try and replicate for yourself at home. They offer 'mild' to super hot sauces for those brave enough to go there!

Originally went here as I had a voucher - but have returned as the service and prices have been consistently good. Hairdressers who know their craft is appreciated. If I'm paying good money, I expect good outcomes. Would definitely recommend these guys!

Never had a bad meal here - although more expensive than other restaurants, it is worth it as the quality is good, the service thorough and pleasant. Great choice of wine!

Went for lunch catch up bigger than expected group but staff were accommodating. Linguine was tasty - although we all suffered food envy when the pork belly came out! Good value for money - used Entertainment Book voucher which took that little bit extra off. Very happy :)

For a general check up Georgia has a great ability to put your mind at ease - I hate the dentist usually! Price is good even with the gap from health fund. Happy to recommend service to others :)
