I had a Shellac manicure costing $40, sadly within 4 days my nails were chipping. I took a photo as knew I couldn't get back there for another few days. When I did go back it had still only been 10 days, by this stage 7 nails had nearly half chipped off. I have never had this before with any other Shellac manicure, with most of them lasting until the polish grows out!
I politely spoke to the manager and asked for a refund. She declined and said she would redo the chipped nails only. If I wanted all nails done I would have to pay! Needless to say I didnt want the nails redone as it is likely I would have ended up with chipped nails again within a few days. I was made to feel rude for coming back in and like the polish had lasted as long as was to be expected. They ended up taking the polish off with no apology offered.
Moral of the story, I dont believe true Shellac products are used, poor customer service, and very expensive if you consider I paid effectively $10 a day for 4 days worth of polish before chipping occurred .
