What a dissapointing experience, considering I've been going to Le Taj regularly.
First time for my other half and he'll never be going back.
Sad to say they didn't get the order right and then argued about it.
What a very, very upsetting and dissapointing experience.
Honestly, I cannot explain just how dissapointing, unpleasant, displeasing, unhappy, upsetting, annoying, frustrating and down right poor and disgusting experience I had.....
I was told they would fix the order and deliver what they had forgotten to make us, then I received a call saying they wouldn't deliver it because they didn't forget anything.
After trying to come to sort of an agreement with 6 hungry mouths to fill, I was then demanded to take the food back.
Upon taking the food back they searched the bag and asked if I wanted cash or the money put back on my card, after 5 -10 minutes, I finally got cash back!
By 9:45pm I finally finished at the supermarket and cooked butter chicken for $15 - for 6 people let me remind you, of course there was no naan or Chicken Tikka, but, I'll always look back at it and laugh.
Mainly laugh about the amount of money and customers I had given them to wind up having such an unpleasant experience.
I'll never be going back, unfortunately neither will my 150+ co-workers
And to think this is what they have listed on the home page of their webiste - "Our consistency to quality and service has voted us the Top Local Favourite Indian restaurant by Melbourne Leader Awards 2010 in West & North Melbourne Region."

Wonderful experience. Quality Indian food and excellent service.have been to lot of Indian eatery's in city but this is good.owner of the shop is young and seems to have good knowledge about Indian food.we were really impressed.

Was rather disappointed with the quality of the dishes we received after reading some of the reviews on here. To begin with, they stated on their website that they delivered, yet there was only a pick-up option when you went though the ordering process. So we had to phone and place our order instead. The food arrived about 10 mins earlier than they had specified, which was great as we were real hungry! The dishes were average in flavour and I was even put off mine a little as there was a lot of grizzle with the chicken. Ended up a little disappointed with the result as we were set for a good feed. The prices were good in comparison to other places, but not worth what we paid for.

This is lovely little Indian place. The service is really outstanding and so is the food. Lots of veggie options and it's really cosy with lots of space between tables. A real find.

Have been to the restuarant both for lunch and dinner. Was hesitant the first time as it was a lunch time and we were the only people in there. I was very imprressed with the lunch banquet, they are great value.

Dinner was just as good, the people are efficient and friendly, the food is exceptional and the value is well worth it
