Felt hurried to order here. They have a fair range of food for what is essentially a fish and chips shop. The food was nice enough. Weird that they didn't sell potato cakes! I preferred Peters by the Sea - tasted better and more seating/better atmosphere.

Had burgers from here - the fish and the veggie burger. They weren't excellent - average enough, but I would have expected them to be nicer. Somewhat bland. Wasn't too impressed with the chips either - the seasoning was weird.. I'd like to try some fish next time. Their prices are fairly steep though, so I haven't been back.

Bad service.

Had a discount voucher to use here. I had asked someone in the restaurant about whether I needed to print off the vouchers or if I could show it on my phone. He said they'd accepted it displayed on mobile phones before.

I showed them at the end of the meal, and the lady had to go check if it was okay to accept the voucher. The guy that came out started interrogating me about who said I could do this and basically humiliating me in front of my friends, not letting me finish what I was saying before laughing at me. I took offense to this and told him: I have a voucher on my phone, which he could either accept or I could go print off and bring back for him to accept - regardless of which option, I will be getting the discount. So do I go print or not?

He finally relented, making himself out to be a hero, doing us this favour just once!

The food here however was great. A buffet - but not one of those horrible everything tastes average ones. Each dish was good. We were one of two tables that night (the restaurant's capacity is high - but they were not busy) so the waitress was very attentive, getting us water etc as we needed it.

Had the veggie burger here. Was nice enough, but from the unusual ingredients I was expecting it to be even better. Was a little pricey. Also the staff weren't very personable.

This place had really good sushi. And quite reasonable prices. I loved the tuna hand roll personally. Service was fine.

Pricey drinks (about $30 for a small jug - got 3-4 drinks from it), but quite tasty. You're paying for the novelty, really. And it's a very cute place (fake grass, lawn furniture, a view from either 2 levels). I unfortunately went at night - I think this place would be gorgeous during the day for a light snack and drink with friends.

Never been here for a movie unfortunately, but I've had drinks here. It has a nice view and is a cool place to hang with friends. It's an outdoors thing, so if you go in winter you probably want to dress warmly. But it's great in summer!

Not sure if they do it often, but when I went last they were giving out free samples of what I think was their signature drink? It was pretty good!

This review is for Galactic Circus, Southbank VIC

This place used to be really awesome - it had so many more games and would run contests. The best part about Galactic Circus that separated them from most arcades was when they had Dance Dance Revolution on a big screen. Heaps of people would crowd around and watch those playing a game, and they would have competitions and give aways there.

Galactic Circus now is okay - but not somewhere I would travel especially to go to anymore. And I don't find myself in Southbank that often. It has about half the amount of games (or at least seems that way after they got rid of a bunch of the better games) and is much less busy/exciting.

So when I rate this place, I rate it as compared to its former self. I cannot help but be disappointed when I go here. However, compared to other arcades, it has a decent amount of games, not badly priced and is in the Crown Casino complex (which is both advantageous and disadvantageous).

Very expensive, but actually worth it.

I usually don't order steak, but you wouldn't go here and not order steak. It was $30 and they bring it out to you on a cooking stone that has a temperature of 400 degrees. The steak is seared on both sides and has started to cook. You could probably begin eating it when you get it if you prefer it less cooked but I love mine well done. There are a number of sauces/dips on the sides of the cooking stone which you can dip chunks of cooked meat. So tasty.

You can also order some sides if you want, but the steak is fairly filling on its own.

The dessert bento wasn't that great. The chocolate souffle and hazelnut ice cream was yummy, but the souffle was hard in the middle like it had been microwaved too long. The little box of sliced fruit with the desserts was a nice touch, too.

Beware: you will come away from the restaurant smelling like meat. I kept getting whiffs of my meal, making me hungry afterward haha. Would definitely go back.
