This is a great little convenience store, the owners and the people that work there are So nice and friendly, very welcoming! Food is all a great price, lots of variety and some nice seats outside to wait or eat at. If you're after some quick takeaway or any convenience store items, i'd chose this place!

Been here a few times and to be honest the food has been only average. First of all, the prawn crackers (a must have for any chinese meal!) tasted like plastic and a bit strange, and also cost $3.80 for a bag when usually they're free with a large meal!
The lemon battered chicken is delicious, but the special fried rice isn't. There are big slabs of cut ham the size of 50cent pieces, big slabs of some sort of beef and it feels uncomfortable in the mouth and the cheap ham flavor is too overpowering. We also tried the singapore noodles which were alright, some strange veggies in there we couldnt name that we took out as they were mushy. Nice enough place in side, nice mood lighting but they are quite slow with the orders.

I have been here for lunch and an evening snack on my own twice now. First of all, this is the first fish and chip place I have found where you can dine in and it has got lovely comfy booths and also some tables and chairs and a bench. It has been fairly quiet and haven't had to wait too long to be served. The house wine is suprisingly yummy! I have ordered their dim sims which were average, their chips which werenice and their flake - this is the only fish I will eat and it just simply MELTED in my mouth! The crunch was perfect, it was juicy, oh I can't wait to go back for more! ALTHOUGH! The serving is disappointingly small - not a long flat piece as usually expected they are more thick and long finger styled pieces and you get two for $8 - I could definately have a double serving, but $16 for 4 small pieces? A bit over priced. But again, so good that I will go back when I care to be frivolous with my money. A definate must try

This review is for Rockwall Bar & Grill, Battery Point TAS

Well I have only visited this place once, as if I had not pre looked up good steak places, I would never ever have noticed it. It is tucked right next to Another well known steak place, the ball and chain and the Rockwall just does not stand out - we drove past it a couple of times.
Anyway I will admit that we did attend this restuarant early - we were there at 5:30 and the only people there. The place is simply BEAUTIFUL. Lovely low lighting and the rockwall itself is very grand looking. You could certainly dress up a little for fun and fit in, although smart casual fits in too.
As we were the only ones there, we felt we did receive silver service. We attended on a Thursday and called around lunchtime to book and after 6 they were completely booked out so make sure you call well in advance.
The entree of salt and pepper calamari was the best my partner has ever had and I do not usually like seafood but even I was able to eat and enjoy this. I just ordered the bread with the vinagrette oil which was pretty average although the bread was warm and crusty.
Of course we both ordered steaks - my partner the large 500g and me the normal order. He ordered medium-rare and myself medium and they both came out 100% perfect. THe flavour was exquisite and we both kept grinning at each other as the flavours were wonderful. Although I have read reviews where the steaks weren't right, I do beieve this comes down to how busy they are, but for us early in the night, they were perfect. My partner had the ferrer roche' icecream which came with a shot of frangelico and it looked so delicious and tasted really good. Loved the frangelico shot which we half poured over the dessert and i slowly sipped the rest, hehe! Definately am interested to see how they go on a saturday, but definately worth a visit!!!

This review is for Annapurna Salamanca Indian Restaurant, Hobart TAS

I have moved to Tasmania from Melbourne and this is easily the best Indian food I have ever had! You cannot go without having the Cheese & Garlic Na'an bread! Their cutlets as an entree or main are to die for. I would recommend getting hte entree banquet for 2, as you get to try a coconut prawn, a sausage, a cutlet and chicken and it's really fun to have a bit of everything. Their dessert wine is delicious, in particular the Frogmore Iced Reasling which I now go out of my way to buy regularly. I have been to this restuarant at all times of the evening and week and can say if you are early - as in around 5-6 o'clock the waiting time is very fair and reasonable. Any later on any night and you really do need to book in advance.
A few of the seats are near the door which can get cold so take jacket just in case! SOmetimes the staff can be a little unaware of an empty table or you waitng for their attention on a busy night, but aren't all places generally like this? I have also ordered takeaway from here and it has been Just as pleasing. Must not miss this place!
