Found vintage toy cars here - made my man so happy - you never know what you'll find so it's always worth a fossick.
This historic red brick building (used to be livery stables at the back of the old National Bank) standing prominently at the corner of Vincent Street opposite the lovely old Post Office building is just jam-packed with about five rooms of stuff. Antiques, curios, collectables, odd lots and interesting paraphernalia. Actual street address is 91 Vincent Street.
Not your up-market shiny, high-price tag shop. Lots of clutter and therefore fascinating to look through - books, kitchen items, old toys, photos and pictures, baskets, costumes, flags, coins, crockery, sewing patterns, music, ship's items, furniture ... just an endless delight for someone like me.
Run by two old ladies who like to have a yarn and can tell you stories about each item. Open only on weekends apparently.
I bought a retro velvet shoulder bag for $6 and a gemstone for my son who collects these things for $2.
Just go in and wander - you'll be amazed what you'll find.
