Took my family here for breakfast and we loved it. Was quick service and the staff were lovely. Its a really nice to sit along the strand and after dinner you can pop over to the sports bar for a drink. Highly recommened.

Beautiful views and upmarket menu and drinks. A nice place to go on a special occasion or date. For me though personally I find the prices a bit steep.

This morning I had my usual breakfast selection for this venue, "Eggs Benedict". As always the experience was well beyond 5 stars. The service is fast and friendly, the meal presentation is spot on, The eggs cooked to perfection served on the freshest sour dough with ham and a Hollandaise sauce that dances on your tastebuds. By far the best Eggs Benedict I have tasted and the coffee had the perfect crema with a smooth creamy fresh coffee flavour.

The prawns for entrée were devine, the eye fillet cooked to a perfect medium, the vegetables were a brilliant crisp texture, the service was fantastic... Highly recommended!

The watermark hotel is a very upmarket bar and restaurant. It sits literally a stone's throw from the beach and you can sit and look over the ocean while you sip your beer or enjoy an appetizer. The bar and restaurant provide both open and closed dining/drinking options making it a viable option on most days. The menu while it has some eye catching dishes is quite small and the meal portions were not the biggest. It can also take a fair while for you to get served at the bar when it is busy, particularly when some bar staff look after their friends out of whom has been waiting there the longest. A great view to sit and relax with a beer but both meals and beers are more expensive than most other bars close to the area.

The night we went to the watermark, there was a very cold hard breeze coming through, and waitress had us sit outside in these gail force winds. It was very annoying considering there were VACANT TABLES inside. When we complained to the manager about this, she said to us we couldnt sit inside because all those tables were reserved as they were the usual spots for regular customers who would be arriving within the hour. She then advised us that if they didnt turn up for another HALF AN HOUR she would move us inside. While me and my work collegues waited, we then began a game of "what will come first the table or our food" - which mind you we had already waited for, for around 30 minutes or so. so sure enough our food comes before the "regular customers" did, and sure enough one of their regular customers didnt turn up. The manager then came up to us half way through our meal and RELOCATED us inside. despite the fact we had been waiting in the cold for an HOUR she had the hide to make us move half way through our meals! as soon as we finished we paid and left. for such a high class restraunt the service was truely terrible!

This was the first restaurant i ever visited on moving to Townsville. I expected the prices to be a little bit higher, but with a nice view, beautiful sea breezes and comfortable atmosphere I was very happy. However every time i visit this place the service is slow and the staff are not interested in your experience of fine dining so why should i pay the price for good food.
