Great place for a family night out, and even when you have an extended family get together. Known for their amazing parmas, they even have a special Parma night.

Our inlaws wanted us to try out the Warrandyte Retreat for lunch, so we happily met them there. The place itself is very lack-lustre, nothing special at all. It actually has a bit of an "empty" feel - but that's probably because we did a mid-week lunch. Hubby got the parma (2 thumbs up!), father-in-law got a steak pie (2 thumbs up!), mother-in-law got the risotto (2 thumbs up!), and I had a bowl of chips and a salad - thumbs up (you can't get those 2 things wrong though... if you did, you shouldn't be in the food biz! ha!) Our waitress was very lovely, chatty and helpful. Decent food, decent prices, 'okay' atmosphere during the day (can't speak for evenings though), lovely service. Worth a try if you're in the neighborhood and want a bite to eat!

We visited this restaurant mid week. It was good as they are open all day and we booked for 5:30 as we have young kids so they eat early. So it was good, they also accommodated for toddler with a high chair. Wasn't very busy but it was mid week. It is a very nice clean place inside and it is worth the drive to Warrandyte.
Meals were great, I thought it might be like pub food but the presentation was great & cooked just right!
Great service & great price can't ask for much more!

Must visit this place

Catered for local repertory group during shows. Packed and labelled each dinner and had it ready on time. Everyone enjoyed their food. Only drawback was they wouldn't deliver - not even locally for 29 meals.

I found this place because of a voucher and have returned 4 times in a short period. The food is magnificient, the atmosphere relaxing with a great ambience about it.
THe meals are large, so will cater for the large eater, but the quality and taste sensation of the food is fantastic. THe lamb shanks are my pick!!

I have dined here with family and with friends and have always had a lovely time. The garlic prawns are fantastic and others I've been with have always been happy with their meals.
I found the service attentive and mostly prompt. All our meals arrived together and were hot. The tables are not so close together that you can reach the next table and the noise level is low enough to be able to talk comfortably.

I went here with a number of other mums with our babies. The food was ok, our meals did not all arrive at the same time, even though it was not that busy.

The service was pretty ordinary, having to ask a number of times for various things.

Over the phone for our booking we had made it quite clear on the number of prams we would have with the extra room needed, the did not accommodate - fortunately it was not busy and we could spread out.

The night we dined in it was not too busy so the service was prompt as was the food. The menu was quite extensive with many pastas, salads, main courses as well as special boards. A jazz band was advertised and with the given the area would have been lovely to go for a listen, relax and coffee.

Approximate cost: $25
