1 review about The Crescent Hotel

My wife wanted a quick but healthy lunch so we popped into the crescent after neglecting this family run pub for far too long. We were greeted warmly by Dave [hands-on-owner-publican] and chose to sit in the small back dining area away from the bar.The menu is seasonal and new dishes appear regularly.
We both chose the "seafood pasta" with chips and salads. While waiting for our food an adjoining table of 6 men were discussing their lunch and not surprisingly all 6 were extremely impressed. One of the 6 sounded as if he hailed from Eira and having travelled through Ireland we know how high his benchmark would be.Listening to their raving ended with the arrival of our meals and silence prevailed until my slightly sated wife exclaimed with a "WOW"
We both agreed; this was exceptional food at pub prices. The chips were hot and crispy and the salad fresh colourful with a tasty dressing. We had a bottle of Deakin sauvignon blanc[$20] with our food and the bill came to $54. Top value for top food!!
There is parking on site and a rustic table in the sun.
Th Crescent truly is a star in a competetive galaxy.

Approximate cost: $15/$20 odd
