Supernormal is a very understated name for this Japanese fusion tapas bar. I found the entire experience extremely the opposite, about it was by no means unpleasant. The surrounds are very pop art, and the menu is asian tapas with a japanese/chinese/australian theme.
We were offered a complimentary bowl of spiced nuts and a fantastic cold salad of silky silky tofu and spicy braised eggplant to start.
In terms of our orders, we had soft bao filled with wild boar (a rich complex version above the above pork varieties), lobster rolls (sweet milk buns filled with slices of lobster, mayo), szechuan lamb with spring onion pancakes, tempura crab served vietnamese style, wood grilled octopus with fermented chilli. Everything was really really interesting and tasty.
