Not really my cup of tea. I like to enjoy a nicely put together meal, full of flavour and something different to what I would cook at home when I spend money to go out to dinner. We tried this once for a date night against my better judgment - just to try something different - and yes, I should have listened to myself. Why pay for a nice night out when all you get is splatter stains on one of your favourite top, a boring steak (no marinade even) that you have to cook yourself and what seemed like plain old frozen veggies. I get the concept, but its not just feasible for a long term restaurant. I really am surprised they are still open. People must just not know how to cook at home more than I realized if they think that's worth paying money for.

Food served on hot stones (like big square cut slabs, not just an random rock), though I suspect the ice cream is served on cold stones (not sure how cold as we didn't order the ice cream and it would have been rude to go around touching strangers stones).

My view is that this place is interesting, and you should try it for yourself. I will go back if I am with friends who want to try something different. But I found it a little bit gimmicky and the food itself didn't manage to impress beyond the gimmick. By that I mean the food is excellent, but the gimmick is a one off.

We bought vouchers to try this restaurant cheaply to decide if the serving sizes, prices & service was worth returning to... definitely won't be returning. We booked for an early seating (5:45 pm) so we could get babies home to bed, but didn't end up even receiving our meals until 7pm, then they had to cook & be eaten. The hot stones were not as hot as they should be so the meats took longer to cook than they should. The serving sizes were very small, considering the prices. The staff were just bordering on civil - definitely not very friendly - not even a smile.

If that's how they treat customers trying out their restaurant, it's a wonder they have any return business.

Approximate cost: $35

Gee whiz that all sounded awful and terrible! I too would be not happy jan if my meals were over an hour after we seated to get kids to bed etc.
Don't think I'll be checking out this place any time soon :-/

My son took his girlfriend for Valentine's Day to celebrate their 1 year anniversary. He is an apprentice chef and was really looking forward to dining at a restaurant he had wanted to go to for some time. Unfortunately they were both sadly disappointed with the quality, quantity and value of the meal. The salad was just lettuce, the entre was one small plate to share, and the steak which they cooked themselves was lovely. I hate writing bad reviews but you guys need to get your act together.

Approximate cost: $55 each for 3 course

Shame they used to be quite good, maybe they changed hands. Will go to mango hill tavern for steak instead.
