in this day and age, it's quite reasonable to expect these prices. They're doing good on that front.
The food is delicious, so they're good here as well.
And the people are so friendly and charming. Win win win!

Very good food and service even in a power failure!
This is a very pleasant venue and has a lovely ambience. Pleased to advise the food is of a high standard and delicious. The wine list has a nice range and BYO cost is reasonable. No need to travel to the city for a nice night out.

Enjoyed a restaurant dinner for 4 last night. We all agreed the vegetarian tasting platter was excellent. We shared our mains, all were great. But two standout dishes were the Bombay beef, and the vegetarian eggplant marsala. So thanks to the Shalimar we had great food in Blackwood.

Had dinner here a few months ago. Very pleasant eating place with friendly staff. The butter chicken was very nice and could select how spicy we would like it. A good menu too with reasonable prices. They provide takeaway too and also deliver to a range of suburbs.
