Never let them tow you!! They are rude and sexist! They took advantage of me because they knew I wasn’t familiar with Towing services and decided to overcharge me $$$

The first time I was involved in a car accident on the freeway in 2018, a tow truck had arrived shortly to the scene. With barely any approval from me, my car was towed back to my house by the Performance Towing truck driver. On the way home, I sat on the passenger’s seat of the tow truck beside the tow truck driver when he made a few sexist remarks whilst talking to his coworker over the phone. He mentioned to his coworker on the phone about how “females shouldn’t be out driving on the road because they always crash” and made various crude sexist remarks i.e exclaiming “bl**dy females!” to his coworker just when news had broken to him that there had been another crash involving another female driver shortly after mine at the time.

The tow truck driver towed my car back to my house and wanted to charge me $400 for a distance ~10km (that is very unreasonable). I decided to just get my old car scrapped so I didn’t have to pay the fee… but $400 was way too overpriced and I should’ve charged the driver $$$ for my car scrap instead had I known at the time that it was worth more than the amount he was charging me for the towing service. Terrible company!
