Let you tell you Paradise Landscaping story. (I will happily change this comments and rating if I somehow (miraculously) get some action after this post).

I live next to a Housing Commission house that Paradise was doing some tree removal. Admittedly, the tree in question was huge. In the midst of removing the tree, which bordered my property, large logs were dropped on my hedge bordering the property, leaving several large holes and broken young trees. I know this was an accident but I took several photos of the damage and of the cut logs still lying in my driveway. Good thing I did. This happened in March.

I have rung the Paradise office at least twice a month (with the exception of January when I was on hols). Each time I called I was spoken to very politely by a range of different people, promising that they would be around to plug the holes (with plants!) and trim the (by now) overgrown hedge.

I believe visits were made to inspect the damage but no follow-up was ever done despite me ringing them to ask about the issue. Also I believe it was the manager who came in November without telling me he was coming and left a message with my kids. I rang the office again and am still waiting.

I'm not after any compenstaion for the damage. My hedge is no longer recognisable as a hedge and it's now been 10 WHOLE months since the original incident. All I want is some replacement plants, the hedge trimmed and the mess cleared. The whole thing should cost them no more than $50 plants and labour altogether.

There is ready access to the damage so I don't even need to be there. What are these guys waiting for?

My next port of call will be the Small Claims Court which I definitely don't want to do but am getting nowhere playing the nice guy.

If you contract these guys, get everything in writng. There's no reason why I've been so neglected except they just don't care about the small person.

You've now been warned.

Me again. Early May. Last week, fed up with the continued non-response, I mailed them (express!) outlining the problem and providing nine photos of the damage. Still haven't heard but my fingers are crossed. Stay tuned but be warned.

Mid Jan 2011! I did hear from teh manager after my letter who claimed that they had visited/rung but I had not returned their call.I disputed this, saying that I had spoken a number of people and left numerous messages. At any rate, he agreed that he would come out and the damge would be fixed. I have not heard from them since and have really written the whole thing off.
