We stayed here on the weekend using a last minute booking website. Nice room. Clean and better than your average hotel room, and we got a balcony room for very low price.
Staff were friendly. Parking is available under the building, though not owned by the hotel so we still had to pay $32 for the night. Overall, we were happy with our stay.

If you want to stay somewhere central in Melbourne, on a budget and within walking distance to shops, restaurants etc this is a great place. The rooms are nothing over the top, just standard, so if you don't plan of staying in your room to much this place is appropriate. If your looking to spend a lot of time in your room, I wouldn't recommend. The last time we visited we were given a room in a corner of the building which had no outside light, it was just a window which looked into a corridor, so the room felt extremely dark so if you book, it's worth asking to not be given one of those rooms! It did put a bit of a downer on the trip, so needles to say we didn't spend much time in the room.

The best thing about this hotel is its very convenient location, walking distance to Melbourne CBD, restaurants etc. The reception staff are also very helpful and friendly. The room was disappointing though.. bathroom is tiny (retro-fitted as the hotel is part of an office block), barely any water pressure and you have to open the sliding door to dry yourself! I had to turn off the aircon to stop it dripping all over the carpet. Don't know when the aircon was last cleaned but it was filthy. The buffet breakfast would have been good value at less than $20 - had it not been cold. Overall, not a fan and won't be back.

We were happy with the night we spent there, but! we got a discount night If we had of paid full price I don't think I would have been happy at all.
The size of the room was poky, the bed was hard, pillows to soft and not enough the bathroom was tiny and the shower/bath a joke, good for a kids bath.
Room service for our midnight snack was great and Buffet Breakfast was amazing and there was an offer the night we were there full brecky for 2 for $20, We got there a little late though OOps!

Ensuite/bathroom was very small, as was the executive suite that I stayed in. The television was wall mounted but almost at the ceiling height making it a difficult angle to comfortably view. The room was very clean. Staff were polite. Buffet breakfast was delicious. Good central location close to train station.

Approximate cost: $160

It was New Year's Eve, I booked with Rates To Go, so I don't know the usual rates, but I was happy with the cheaper price, and then they upgraded us to a Studio with a balcony for smoking. They have a pool, which is important to me. The room was clean, very smart, and the bathroom was ultra modern hidden in behind a glass wall. The tv actually worked properly and the bed was comfy. There was a neat kitchenette which didn't use, but it was well set up for a cooked breakfast or light lunch. We took advantage of the $10 pizza although that meant eating at 6 like Nana, but then Happy Hour drinks made up for it. $3 a glass of white, mmm. I checked out the restaurant menu, which I feel was comparable in price and selection as any decent eating place in Melbourne. We walked to the hotel from the train station, then a few blocks into the city/shops/nightlife, and a few more blocks brought us to Fed Square and Southbank, or there was the option of the nearby tram.

Approximate cost: $200

This is a really great hotel. The rooms have been newly renovated, they are clean, the staff were excellent and gave us a later check-out. The studio rooms are small, but we didn't need anything big because we were out for most of the night. The have great little kitchens in them. Even with mini-dishwashers. The bed was really comfy and overall we just had a great stay, and I booked this through the entertainment card and it was so cheap. Only $140 for the night. It's in a great location also, close to Crown which is were our function was.
