5 reviews about MoVida Bakery

MoVida is one of those places that people hear about and word spreads, only good things of course. This place does amazing food, my boyfriend bought two of their pies, and I got a dossant and blueberry filled donut. After stealing a bite of his pie, I had to go get more, because they were just too good not to have another. The filling is very wholesome, with nice chunks of meat and the pastry is just the right amount of flaky.

Their coffee was quite good as well, and overall it was a fantastic experience. I'd definitely recommend the pies overall, and the donuts were quite good as well, though next time I will try a salted caramel or something instead.

I only went here for a quick coffee, so can only comment on that but it was a great little bakery to go to! They are always bustling (I go past all the time) and have cushioned bench seats out the front where you can watch the world go by. I had heard their coffee was average, but I quite liked my latte. Not burning hot, and not burnt. I was there about 3pm on a Saturday, and they had unfortunately sold out of their donuts (I was keen to try their salted caramel donuts which I have only heard good things about!) Instead I got a brownie which was soft and delicious!
Their breads also look fresh and delicious, not cheap, but fresh bread is just one of those treats worth paying for!

Approximate cost: $3.50 for coffee, $4 for cakes, $6+ for bread loaves

Having been familiar with the movida brand I was desperate to come here and taste their donuts, pastries, pies, bread, cakes, sandwhiches, tarts etc I was expecting amazing things. I got there at about 130 and there were no sandwhiches available i was ok with that there were however lamb pies, sausage rolls, donuts, other goodies So i ordered a lamb pie which was absolutely heavenly and the most delicious mango rice pudding donut the quality is extremely high as are he prices portion sizes are quite small but for the quality you get what you pay for. Divine. I will be back. Although parking can be little difficult.

This place is very close to where I work and the most popular spot for our staff to run and get some gourmet, yummy lunch food! The sandwiches are to die for, real salmon fillets, poached and succulent in a sandwich. Luscious donuts and many other special treats, great quality food.

My most favourite croissant is created here. Crusty yet soft in the centre with just a small aroma of that crisp, freshly baked scent. It is just the right size to eat without making a flaky mess. Perfect.
They make to-die-for lamb pies (amongst a vast range of pies), friands, refined donuts with unique fillings and loaves of bread.
If you want to experience the food adventures of a true Melburnian, this is your compulsory pit stop. Get in early before the popular stuff gets sold out.

Approximate cost: $6
