Travelling through SA for a festival and decided to stop here. I am so glad I did as you can view the chocolates being made and make a purchase (or 5 lol). All of the staff were friendly and the chocolates were reasonably priced.
If you love lollies and chocolate then this place is a must visit. They have a huge selection of items that are all made on the premises in Woodside, you will never be able to walk out just buying one thing. They also have a selection of gift bags to buy for special occasions like mothers day and fathers day. You can buy coffee and milkshakes from here too.
Our favourites are the chocolate coated snakes and chocolate coated raspberries.
Approximate cost: $6.00
It is definitely worth a visit but just be prepared to need to go to the gym afterwards lol
Located next to Woodside cheese Wrights how could we not pop in for some chocolate tasting and purchasing. No one was disappointed, my relatives were very happy with the variety of chocolates, lollies and licorice available. Of course we did not leave empty handed, it is all just too delicious to pass up, always have to make a purchase.
Yummy place but not good for the weight issues I have
When in Woodside, Melba's is a must visit. My girlfriend loves this Chocolate factory, only problem is that there is tooo much choice, not just chocolate but licorice, jellies and other lollies. Always seems to be busy especially during the holiday season, we always leave with a bag full of goodies. We decided to have a milkshake in their cafe before heading off, quite nice, probably should have had coffee instead as I felt we had overdone the chocolate tasting.
Just had to take my visiting relatives to Melba's as they all have a sweet tooth. Such a huge array of delicious chocolates, licorice and lollies. So many to try, I loved the white chocolate frogs. After many tastings and purchases we decided to have a hot chocolate in their coffee shop. So delicious.... Found the staff to be very friendly and prices fairly reasonable, we spent $80 between us.
I have many childhood memories of road trips into the hills that included a stop at Melba's Chocolate Factory. I love the atmosphere and of course, the chocolate here. It is always on the list of places to visit whenever we have interstate visitors.
Love this chocolate factory. And there's the associated cafe that's a must. The staff here always make a good coffee, but while you're here, might as well try their hot chocolate! I mean it is a chocolate inspired location.
A great place for visit and to consume
So much choice, I always drop in when in the area, so delicious
Popped into Melba's again and picked up some chocolate buttons which will be good for our Christmas baking. Always enjoy browsing through the wonderful display of mouthwatering items available.
I like to visit Melba's Chocolates at least once a year, especially around easter, when I like to stock up for family, friends and of course my girlfriend. There are so many lollies to choose from, I am mainly interested in the chocolate. My parents would always buy me a large chocolate letter for my birthday, always enjoyable.
This review has reminded me to visit here again. It has been a long time since my last visit
In a word? Heavenly! They have some of the best chocolates and sweets that are pretty affordable. There are often bowls around with some for tasting, too. My favourites are the licorice chews (like the old-fashioned 'Choo-choo bars', and the chocolate freckles.
