Bit of a wait for a table but staff were onto it. Food was nice & staff were very friendly. Good local go-to cafe
this place was amazing only went there the once but i enjoyed my bacon and eggs and coffee, the service was faultless the staff were friendly and service was quick
I went to this place because it had been highly recommended. I have been back subsequently, but I am always disappointed. The eggs are never quite done the way I want them and the bacon is a bit too greasy/crunchy. The first time I went there there were flies buzzing around.
Having said all this, other people love it. And they do have really nice juice options. I just think that there are better places to go in Melbourne.
Approximate cost: $14-20
Great place for all day breakfast. Great customer service and great coffee. The pide with chicken is a fave for a lunch. Nice decor too.
Love the name
Great little cafe and judging from the crowd one of the best on the street! Service was pretty good considering the amount of people coming in and out though my food needed a little more seasoning, all in all it was an enjoyable meal.
Great coffee, great service. What more could you ask for? It's a little bit hard to find if you don't know where it is, but once you get there, you'd be glad you found it! The coffees are smooth and the wait staff are so friendly and helpful. I've seen mum with bubs going there and they've always been well served. I usually go to cafes to work on my laptop and these guys were fine with it, unlike some other cafes.
The decor is really warm too, if you need something more to persuade you!
Great review. Sounds like a fantastic cafe, maybe I could go there one day and see if it is as good as you say.
Some friends took us here for breakfast - what a fantastic cafe! (Apparently we were lucky to get a table straight away - it is so popular that there can sometimes be a line waiting to get in!) The coffee was really good (even for my husband who is very picky about coffee!) and the ricotta hotcakes I had for breakfast were the best hotcakes I have ever had - yum! The cafe has a funky atmosphere with lots of light coming through the windows and the staff were helpful and attentive, despite being pretty busy! This is definitely a place we'll go to again when we're in Melbourne and we'd certainly recommend it to any friends living or visiting there.
Approximate cost: $14 (breakfast)
Usually have nothing but praise for Liar Liar, my friend and I frequented it A LOT. However, we went there last week for coffee and brunch, and were really let down, it seems to have slipped from it's usual high standards.
We were seated, and ordered coffees, then seemed to be forgotten about. The coffee, usually excellent, was lukewarm, weak and there were coffee grounds at the bottom. Food was pretty yum, which is what we usually expect.
Looks to me like they're under new management, so could be a case of the old teething problems, but the cafe was running so well beforehand I wouldn't have thought you would want to go adjusting much.
Approximate cost: $14-18
My favourite brunch spot on Glenferrie road, Liar Liar offers a range of breakfast and lunch options that will tantalize your taste buds. The also make a killer iced Mocha that cant be beaten. Their chicken pides are a must go for any hungry shoppers on a lunch break.
Lovely cafe. One of Melbourne's best breakfast spots. Good coffee and wonderful scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and goats cheese. Yum. There were lots of other tempting choices. This is Apte in Alphington's sister cafe and just as good.
Approximate cost: $11
“I went there with my Mum this afternoon and I got myself a Tiramisu for $5 so I”…
