I love the fresh, and relaxing atmosphere of the cafe and the Fitcook Lamb Curry is out of this world.

They make great coffees as well and if you are South African they have a small shop with South African items for purchase. Can't beat that! Also the owners are really lovely people.

I went to Kalahari for a birthday lunch with girlfriends. There is a relaxed atmosphere, new foods to try of South African origin and a quiky interior that is refreshing. Most of all the owners Heinz and Adele make this restaurant such a pleasure to visit. There is a warmth and generosity that puts you at ease instantly. The quality home cooking is delicious I think that H & A could easily move onto greater things in the restaurant industry, clearly they have a passion and flare for what they do.

My father took my son & I out for a coffee to this new place he'd heard about.
Entering the carpark I could tell it would be busy with all the cars - always a good sign. As I walked in I thought the place had a nice relaxed feel, the staff were all very attentive and friendly. I loved the decor & laid back atmosphere.
The cafe offers a traditional South African 'vetkoek' which I have since found out is a dough that is deep-fried & filled with mince or spread with syrup, honey or cheese. There are a few filling options available but we opted for the 'Brekki' which was bacon, cheese and monkey gland sauce, it was extremely tasty & the price was even better only $6, with the cheapest being $4!
There is a kids corner to keep the little ones entertained & South African products for sale too. I loved how the staff were really relaxed about my toddler running around the place - a breath of fresh air!
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit & will most certainly be back again.
