BOOTS CAUSE BUNIONS. I bought a $450 pair of pointy high heeled over the knee boots. They felt too tight so I brought them back and the sales rep told me to wear them with a thin stocking and that they would stretch. So, I wore them, but they rubbed against my toes and feet bones and caused a severe flare of 4 bunions (I didn’t know I had!) and I have been in pain for 2.5 weeks, haven’t been able to walk properly, had to get all my shoes stretched and also waiting on a podiatrist appointment. I won’t spend a single cent at Jo Mercer again.

I used to love their shoes, until one day I ordered a pair of heels online (same size as I always wear) only to find their sizes are terribly inconsistent and the size I usually wear was about 2 sizes too small. So much for quality control. Although I suppose this shouldn't be too surprising as all their shoes are made in China.

I have found Jo Mercer to be disappointing in every regard but specifically with the unwillingness of staff to assist customers. The website does not clearly highlight its return policy which is inferior to the online shopping standard now widely available in Australia. The store assistants and online customer service reps and ridged and do not care to accomodate consumer requirements.

I really like this shoe shop. They have different, unique choices which aren't found everywhere and the quality is always good. Service is helpful and friendly.
