Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend hogs breath restaurant to people Has gone down hill since my previous visit Very pricey for the quality of food Chicken was dry both dishes & steak small for over $40 Tortilla shell looked more like something I could put on my heat & tasteless Too much rocket Overall a disappointing experience for country friends visiting
Approximate cost: $120
I haven’t been to Hog’s for a long time since they closed the shop at Gouger St. I had the ribs and steak today, meat were very tender but a bit bland, chips were oily and not crispy! Was a little bit disappointed! Service was good.
Been there several times and have never been disappointed. They have a nice weekday lunch selection for $9.90 and I really like the chicken caesar wrap. It comes with their signature curly fries - yumm!! We took our students there for an end of semester treat and they welcomed us so well, giving us a special room. We're going back soon.
Approximate cost: $10
Went here about 2 months ago with some a group of friends for dinner. It was very disappointing, the prices for the steak and ribs ($34) was ridiculous and wasn't all that good. The best item I ate was the Curly Fries with my burger. I think the prices are to high for what you get. The service was slow, the staff seemed to like chatting amongst themselves rather than serving people. Was very disappointing and will not be returning.
I haven't been here for a while, but what I do remember was that the steak was awesome, and I'm fussy with my steak I don't order it when I'm out much as its never cooked as I like it, friendly service, will try it again
Thanks
Have not been here for a long time after the last 2 experiences left a bad taste in our mouth. The food was average, price was expensive and the service was poor. Room for a lot of improvement.
Not my favourite of Hog's Breath Cafes. I love their food and the quality is generally consistent at every restaurant, I just found my dining experience at Glenelg to be disappointing. I have eaten there twice now and won't be returning. The atmosphere is just simply unfriendly and the service leaves a lot to be desired. The staff seem disinterested in doing their job but despite a busy restaurant, most of them seemed to find time to be chatting to other staff members. At one point, what appeared to be the owner, came in to get the staff to do their jobs, but then he disappeared with out serving any of the customers that were lined up at the till or at the bar. Seemed rather chaotic and hurried. Not the relaxing, family friendly experience I am used to at Hog's Breath.
Approximate cost: $25
I love coming here for the lunch time specials. The staff are always very helpful and welcoming, and don't mind my odd order requests. Their mocktails are very tasty as well!
The meat here is awesome as they prepare it at least a day in advance. Again we look for the deals as the price of a main meal is around the $30ish mark so try and get it cheaper on certain days of the week, and look out for the kids eat free special
The service is awful at the Glenelg branch. It is extremely slow and the staff have bad attitudes. They do not want to be there. They would not even acknowledge us when we wanted to pay and we had to stand at the counter forever.
I've had my share of 'not so great' experience with hog's breath franchise. (had some great ones to). It'd be nice to have some quality control.
