Best little bookshop ever. Always got the books I want, and often got the books I like. Great staff, friendly and helpful, real professionals. They know books and they know readers. I can always find a suitable gift for someone at fullers. Highly recommend.

I love coming here! It's always fun to browse the bookshop, find a book, and sit with a coffee and begin reading. It has a very relaxed but friendly atmosphere, and the coffee has always been great. I have yet to eat here, but have heard the food is really good, so it is on my to-do list. Looks a touch expensive, but not scarily so. They also stock a range of organic soft drinks.

So civilised, isn't it, browsing and reading?

I love this place because it's a great bookshop AND a cafe. I can't fault the bookshop at all, great range, and very helpful staff.
The cafe is pretty good, but some of the staff are quite sour. The coffee is generally pretty good, but the food is quite pricey.

A great bookshop, with such a wide range of books available. However, they are lacking in books for those studying a second language. However, the store has a nice design - very modern and clean. The prices could be better and I wish that they had more sales. They have an active Facebook page, which can be quite amusing at times too. Overall, a great bookstore.

There is a fantastic atmosphere in this bookstore, and the cafe is splendid. The books are pricey, but everything is beautifully laid out and the staff are lovely.

I always love popping into Fullers book shop. I could spend hours look through their extensive range of books. The store is very well set out and the staff have always been very helpful. There is a fantastic cafe within the store, which adds to the great experiance of visiting Fullers. The prices are a little on the more expensive side but there have been sales in the past from which I have scored very good bargains.

This bookshop has recently moved to a bigger and brighter location, next to chickenfeed in Collins St.
There is a lovely cafe in the store.
The shop has a good range of quality books, especially Tasmanian books.

Fullers leave me divided. I love the range of books, and some of the staff are lovely, but on a couple of occasions they have left me absolutely flummoxed, most notably when I overheard a young girl at the counter asking if they had any of the Paris Hilton book in stock. Now admittedly, Ms Hilton's book is a long way from Fuller's standard range - picture hard cover classics, Booker prize winners, beautiful art and lifestyle books, things you wouldn't be embarrassed to have on display at a dinner party, but the tone of voice and the look on the staff member's face as she proclaimed they didn't stock "that sort of book" was so condescending and insulting that I had to leave the shop without making my intended purchase that day. To make it even less understandable, they seemed quite happy to sell Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series despite the fact that it is a long way from "improving" teenage fiction.
Their loyalty club is also quite good if you intend to spend over $500 in a two year period.

EDIT: for the third year running they have recommended Michelle Paver's series to me for my niece (now 13). Surely there is SOMETHING else that has been published over that time that a girl who loves fantasy would enjoy?

This is a beautiful store, set out really well and has a great range of products. Its a very enjoyable experience to shop in this store and even though there were quite a few customers it didn't feel crowded. The prices are average but they do have some good specials and its great that there is a cafe.

Approximate cost: $25
