Email Marketing Australia has been wonderful. They helped us select the people we needed and then built the email and gave us advice on having a landing page to increase sales. The people at Email Marketing Australia are very friendly and most helpful. That gives them the 1 1/2 stars. But results...zero! However, my low rating is due to the results and follow up from those results. I spent over $3,000 on a "targeted" email campaign to 10,000 people on their email list. I was very clear about what I considered a successful campaign and what would justify proceeding. I was assured that this was not a problem and it would be very successful. The result: 48 registrations (which is free) and about 2 paying customers. What a disaster! We know that our affiliate program gets about a 12% conversion rate and we only pay for actual registrations. The equivalent cost on our affiliate program would be $48. When I approached EMA about this disastrous result they told me how the click through rate was 25% which was great...but that was only because they give each person that clicks through a free bonus. They weren't clicking through because of the offer just collecting their bonus! Which I only realised when I saw the final copy of the email to be released (after I'd paid and it was all booked in for release). When I asked for some money back they suggested I run another campaign and maybe next time it'll run better. You are kidding me!
