Don't buy online. Once they have your money there is no follow up service. The delivery was efficient and professional and the product (the bits we received) are good but a total lack of after sale service. Feeling very ripped off.

Approximate cost: $1900

After seeing an advertised special from Domayne (30th Dec) my husband decided to place an order on the online store. The order was processed very quickly and they took no time at all to charge the credit card.

We received an email to say that the order been shipped in full on the 31st Dec. As the 1st January is a public holiday we assumed we would receive our order on the 2nd. When nothing arrived I contacted Domayne because the tracking information we were sent returned "no scans" my message was passed on to the store where the item was being sent from where I was informed it was sitting on their back door ready to be collected by the courier today if I would like to pick it up from the store I would need to notify them IMMEDIATELY.

I've a. paid for delivery and b. if I wanted to pick up in store I would have selected the "pick up from store" option or went into the store.

I kindly informed them that as my husband works 30km away and we only have one car this wasn't an option please just send it with the courier.

I was than told it could take up to 2 days because "of the time of the year"

It is now the 3rd of January, I am yet to see my item and the tracking still does not work. It turns out that we live less than 15km from the store it is being sent from...

Also what was an advertised special with postage for $101 was advertised elsewhere with postage for $90.

I am so disappointed with their service I have sent a complaint directly to Domayne. I am awaiting a reply.

4 days and 11km... The store manager could have drove it here after work... I could have walked there and back... Really not worth the time and hassle of "convenience"

6 days after lodging a complaint with Domayne I recieved a response from the store manager where my hard drive had been sent. It was rude and patronising and what's more he did not seem to understand why on earth I was complaining. We recieved tracking information for something that wasn't even sent and wasn't going to be for days. He commented on the fact that I received the order one and a half hours after I lodged the complaint. The tracking on the order was still not working at this time so how was I to know if my order was coming or not. He completely missed the point and was very rude and I will never be dealing with Domayne online, Domayne Kotara or else where again.

We too have received non-legitimate tracking information from various companies whose items have not even left the premises. How such a practice can be lawful, we do not know. Thank you kindly for the update, such (additional) information is valuable, as it offers potential consumers a glimpse into how a business deals with complaints. Such an unprofessional response speaks volumes about said company and its ethics. Thank you for the heads-up. Reeces

I have dealt with a number of people at Domayne over the years, but the guy in the computer section this time round had very little idea about which PC to give me. Being a former HN employee, I potentially could have left with a better unit that what I was purchasing.

Approximate cost: $320.00

This is in reference to the electrics section only as I have had no experience with other departments. The prices are always very competitive and I've always found the service to be excellent. I use a mobility scooter when shopping. This proves to be difficult when negotiating aisles and shelves - this Domayne store is reasonably disability friendly with the fitout.

We bought an LCD LG TV in 2008 and paid for install and extra warranty. It was installed but from the first night we had lip sync problems on several channels and DVD's- by the end of a movie we had female voices coming out of male mouths. I reported this and they replaced it. Same problem. Reported again, replaced, same problem. LG were not interested they said it was Domaynes problem. Reported again and this time we decided to try another model. This was installed but had lip sync problem on every channel and picture not as good. On xmas eve I went to the store to complain and ask for the original model back (as at least the picture was better and lip sync only on some channels). The staff said that wasn't good enough - they should be able to provide a TV that worked and we talked about what it could be and they suggested reception so I agreed to get the reception checked if they would replace the TV - which they agreed to. At about 5pm they rang to say the boss wouldn't replace the TV as it was 'costing him money'. I voiced my displeasure and said I epxected them to pay for reception inspection which the staff member agreed to. I had reception checked and they could find nothing wrong which I reported. Domayne then said they would get the TV (not the model I wanted still) serviced. It was duly sent off and returned with no improvement. My husband rang LG yet again and during this discussion found out the service company was not registered with LG so warranty was void. My husband finally managed to speak to the boss at Domayne who could not explain why it was sent to that company and told his staff to 'fix it' (i.e. make us go away). I went over and got a Panasonic plasma which has not had a problem in 12 months. During all this I sent the receipt for the reception to Domayne for payment and also asked for an invoice listing the panasonic TV. One year and 6 letters later no response at all. I went to fair trading who only managed to get a 'copy' of the invoice. Domayne refused to reimburse the reception inspection as the 'jury was out on that' - I don't see how when the panasonic works perfectly and it happended with DVDs as well as TV. He also said I had got a bonus TV with the LG -which I did but that was LG's promotion and strangely this hasn't had a problem with lip sync and keeping this was never mentioned as part of the deal when I changed to a Panasonic. Even though we are happy with the panasonic it is plasma and we wanted LCD for energy savings. So we are out of pocket for having someone tell us we have perfect reception and the ongoing cost from using more electricity with a plasma. So after this experience I will never shop at Domayne Kotara again as they really don't care - it is all about money, not customers.

Approximate cost: $2000

A great experience, i have bought many goods form this store and will continue to buy more. The store is well planned the bedding one one side the lounges on the other and a separate location for the electrical. Their complaint resolution is fantastic.

Approximate cost: $6500
