Do not sign with deepwear

I contracted Deepwear in May 2023 for the production of 2,400 units of men's shorts and regret doing so. This has been one of the most negative and stressful experiences of my professional career.

- After signing the contract and paying the entrance fee, my account was handed over to an account manager in India. This person had very limited knowledge and lacked expertise.
- Throughout the process, the only thing they did was share messages between the factory and me, without providing any advice, support, or added value.
- Due to their contracts, you are not allowed to communicate directly with the factory. Doing so can result in hefty fines (up to 20k USD). You need to sign additional paperwork and can never discuss prices or payments. This all seems like price manipulation and dirty tactics.
- The confirmed target price for my shorts was 9-10 USD. They could only find factories to produce at prices above 15 USD. I later discovered that plenty of factories could produce for 10 USD. I believe Deepwear kept the prices high to increase their earnings.
- They are not experts. They had never heard of trade agreements and did not advise on importing goods duty-free.
- They even attempted to block my shipments to charge more.
- I have just initiated a legal case claiming 23,000 AUD (15,000 USD) in damages.

I wish someone had left honest reviews to inform potential customers about Deepwear's practices. I regret signing a contract with them.
