The Crispy Inn re-opened after some renovations months ago, but although the displays are a lot more upmarket, the products are still the same. I've been coming here on and off for years, and its always been hit and miss. Some of the bread and rolls are good- tasty and fresh, others have seen better days. The cakes are sometimes fresh, sometimes not- a bit of a lottery. The pies look good, but after i have one (maybe twice a year) i tell myself (again) not to bother. Its always open , and close to where i live but my expectations are never that high.

A 24 hour bakery on King Street, but unfortunately the quality/freshness of the bread seems hit & miss. I went to this bakery to get some fresh Turkish bread and what I was sold was clearly days old. When I arrived home, I noticed it was growing mould!! I was very disappointed that a bakery would be selling food that was clearly not fresh. I would avoid this bakery, particularly as there is another good bakery option on King street.

Ew! That is not acceptable. Stale bread is one thing, but mould is just gross (and a health hazard!) Thanks for the warning. I won't be going here
