Lord of the Fries is a delicious place. I love it because I can only have it once a month.
Loved this place when I was in Melbourne, located right near Flinders Train Station. They have delicious, crunchy and golden fries served in a paper cone! There are also burgers, nuggets ( my kids faves), onion rings and hot dogs.
But the fries are what I come for - you choose your chip - classic, chunky or sweet potato ones, choose your sauce from either classic range such as american, belgian, london to the deluxe sauce range of my fave "french canadian" which is basically shredded cheese and hot gravy together, oh so good! But make sure u eat the fries with included fork straightaway and don't let them go soggy as my kids do!
Will try the burgers next time! Great option for vegetarians too as there is no meat on the menu, all soy or soy protein used. So low fat, high in protein and so good!
sounds great, will need to try next time in melbourne

Standard style burger and fries food chain. Great sauce options for your food. It purely take away food. No Seating available. Conveniently placed across from Flinders Street station.
i saw this place when i was in Melbourne, but it looked small and cramped so i didn't bother going inside. their food sounds good though.
Love the range of sauces to go with the fries (Parisian garlic mayo) my favourite. Have only tried the spicy burger and I must say if you didn't know it wasn't meat it could fool you. Delicious and I recommend it. (Even for meat eaters like me!)
I enjoyed the experience of ordering fries here especially seeing (and tasting some of) the range of sauces. I only tried the fries on my visit but was hearing positive comments about their burgers from a friend a view days ago so might try one another time
For Vegetarian and Vegan fast food it's great, tastes delicious and really lets you get your grease fix.
Quality can vary from store to store and the service is often average, probably because they always have staff that are very young and don't seem to care about anything.
Approximate cost: $15
We were looking forward to a snack while wondering around the city today. We decided to get try this Lord of the Fries. 1 drink (600ml coke), and 2 "cones of fires" with sauce. $15 dollars seems a little steep, especially when my eldest daughter says, I like McDonald chips better. My wife and I were disappointed that the size of the fries were small, nothing over 3 centimeters. The cones dripped a sauce out the bottom. Overall it was nothing special.
Approximate cost: $15 for our snack
Yes, the fries can vary in quality but remember, they do say that the potatoes can vary in taste and texture with the season, so. The prices have gone up, but the mini burgers are a great snack. They're all good for vegan options, too, more so than before.
Approximate cost: $15
Very little royal about this place - chips are average but expensive (lethal combination).
I've also tried the burgers which The Age rated as one of the best in Melbourne (a triumph of marketing) - again, average.
The place also emits a most bizarre, pungent smell which should never be associated with food.
Strictly for the gullible - keep walking.
Approximate cost: $11
I was on holiday in Melbourne last week and these shops are everywhere, so I decided to give it a go. I ordered some fries with the euro mayo. They weren't too bad, but not the best chips I have ever tasted. They were also quite expensive for the serving size you receive. The service was ok, waited about 5-8 mins.
Agree, it's expensive and nothing special in taste
