Exceptional service whether eating in or taking out. Their menu is extensive and truly authentic, they offer the most delicious pasta dishes salads, breads, pizzas and most recently we tried their calzone rustico - oh my, it was so delicious that our son returned the following day for another one,
Giovanni is a lovely place for lunch, dinner or just a coffee, staff are delightlful.
With a bit of spare cash I like to treat my girlfriend to dinner here after the movies. The pizzas are more expensive than others nearby, but the quality is outstanding. Most recently, we found they served us the perfect pizza. They staff are always very nice, it's a pity they don't seem to be doing as much business as they use to, I guess there is a lot more competition now. It is a great relaxing restaurant with very friendly staff. A must try.
My husband and I had just been to the nearby cinema and decided we wanted some "real authentic pizza" so we tried Giovanni's again, we don't usually purchase their pizza as it is very expensive to others nearby, but if you are after quality and authentic flavours then you have to go here. We ordered takeaway pizzas - garlic pizza, Mount Barker Special and an All Meat. Very generous with the toppings and the base was crisp - perfect! Staff were friendly and extremely quick with our order. We will be returning as I would like to try some of their pasta dishes, they offer a very nice menu.

Interesting to know about
Have just had another takeaway pizza from Giovanni's, a little more expensive than some but you pay for what you get. Bases are not oily like other shops I have tried and quality meats used.
Have only had takeaway so cant comment on instore service but will keep going back. Website is handy as well.
Friends and I often meet up here as they make superb authentic pizzas and excellent coffee. The pizzas always have plenty of toppings, never need to ask for more and base is nice and thin, absolutely perfect.
The atmosphere is always welcoming with friendly staff. I highly recommend.
I now go here more for the coffee than the pizza as it is quite expensive. The pizza is great, truly authentic, but I like grabbing the paper whilst shopping and then sometimes going here to read it with a cup of their delicious coffee. Still friendly service and pleasant atmosphere.
I go here now and then with friends, but only for their pizza, they are quite expensive but worth the money. Quality pizzas with heaps of toppings and cooked perfectly. Only once was the base a bit overdone. Have tried their pastas, they are nothing compared to their pizzas. I also like to go for a coffee, which are pretty good. Will be returning when I can afford to.
Great Pizzas heaps of toppings but their Spaghetti Bolonaise was pasta with homebrand tomato sauce on top, no cheese and when asked for cheese girl made it out to be a big deal to get it for us
A nice place to go for that perfect pizza - cooked just right, the base not to thick or thin. Authentic pizza's. We tried the All Meat and the Mt Barker Special (which I really enjoyed). They cost around $21, a bit expensive but they really are delicious. Haven't tried their pasta dishes but have heard they are just great - maybe next time. A very nice place to eat in with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly fast service. Will definitely be returning soon.
